When can you put Linda Barker, Twiggy and Kylie Minogue in the same sentence? Actually it is when you talk about bedding, bed linen and duvet sets. Yes each of these ladies have their own collection of bedding that is available to us all.

The bedroom is such an intimate part of the home. For our teens it's usually treated as their get away escape, a haven from nagging mom's and grumpy dads. For us grown ups, it's more of a place to re-charge and share moments with our loved ones.

When you dress a bedroom of course you will want little accessories there, i.e the picture of the family, some ornaments from a holiday to Cuba, maybe a book shelf. All of this is great. A bedroom has to be functional though and it has to have the right elopements to allow you to recharge.

This can be achieved from having something as little as bedding that you like. Big pillows and huge blankets which would make Egyptian Pharaohs be happy is what some prefer.

For others it's not the bedding or the quilts or the sheets which need rejuvenating, their bedroom just requires some cushions. Cushions serve many factors, at times they are nice to just lay your head on, other times we want to hold onto them for some comfort. Though cushions can serve as great accent pieces in a bedroom too.

If you need to emphasize the soft and luxury feel, wider cushions with elaborate prints or golden streaks across the cushions can really build on the feeling of comfort. For the teenage daughters, who on one hand we are trying to stop them getting more piercings and on the other to get to
college, a super funky pillow, with oranges and blues can be just want the room needs.

For people who have just flown the parents nest and who are looking for great bedding at budget prices, you will find still a great selection of bedding and quilts. What can at first be a little scary, with dealing with bills, plumbers and whatever else comes with living alone brings, you can make absolutely sure that you have something nice to dive into at night.

Nevertheless, it is not as if the only thing that matters in the bedroom is the bed. Having a beautiful bed with the lovely sheets is no use when the rest of the room is in a rambunctious state.

One also has to think about curtains, full length or half? Pastel colours or navy? Which colour is in trend, is gray the new black? Ahhhh - it can seem a bit overwhelming at times. However, it is just a case of taking one thing at a time and doing what you can. Of course, we believe the bedding and the sheets are important but curtains are too.
